Do you have students who had to move in with their aunty and uncle in Belair and don’t know how to fill out their FAFSA? Do you have students whose family situation doesn’t fit neatly into a category? In this session , a panel of Financial Aid experts will share the various ways students can be heard and feel seen through special circumstances appeals. We will discuss some of the classics as well as some of the up-and-coming hits when it comes to special situations, including Foster Care, DACA, Undocumented, and other unique living situations and income situations. Come as you are, and you’ll leave feeling that, though every student’s journey is unique, their happy ending of degree attainment is possible.
