Scholarship Details
KASFAA's Mission and Vision emphasize that we are committed to providing training to our members to ensure that financial aid is properly administered to all students. To that end, each year the KASFAA Board of Directors solicits applicants for scholarships to attend RMASFAA's Summer Institute.
Summer Institute (SI) is a week-long training event designed to give both new and experienced aid administrators comprehensive training in Title IV aid administration. Other topics outside of Title IV are also covered. RMASFAA uses the NASFAA U professional credential curriculum as a foundation for the week.
SI will be held June 7-12, 2026 at Wichita State University, Wichita, KS.
KASFAA has traditionally provided four full registration scholarships for KASFAA members to attend RMASFAA Summer Institute. The registration fee covers lodging and meals for the week. All travel expenses must be covered by the attendee's institution. At the Board's discretion, additional scholarships may be provided if additional funds are available.
Applications for the scholarship are due by March 7, 2026. The Board will review and vote to choose the recipients, who will be notified by the end of March so they can register for Summer Institute. Winners will also be recognized at the April conference.
Recipients are asked to contribute back to KASFAA as gratitude for receiving the scholarship by volunteering for KASFAA board service, committee service, and/or presenting at the annual spring conference.
